According to this “reminder” email, I have an outstanding balance in my account of $3124. Supposedly, the message is a final reminder before the account is frozen. It urges me to click the “Confirm” button to go to the next page and “avoid any complications”.
Here’s what the scam email looks like:
But, alas, I don’t really have $3124 waiting in an online account I know nothing about. The outstanding balance claim is just a ruse to get me to visit a scam website that promises that I can make hundreds of thousands of dollars in just a few weeks by signing up.
The site is a binary options scam and its outlandish claims are just nonsense designed to fool you into participating in a scheme that will steal your money and personal information. If you receive one of these messages, just delete it.
I discuss this scam in more detail in this earlier Hoax-Slayer report.
