Detailed Analysis:
According to a Facebook Page called ‘Dan Bilzerian CEO’, American poker player and  Internet  personality Dan Bilzerian is giving away thousands of dollars in  cash to a few ‘lucky’ Facebook users who like his promotional posts, like the page, and add a comment explaining what they might do with the money if they  win. One post on the Page promises the chance to win $100,000. Other posts offer prizes of $50,000.

However, the Page is fake. It  is not the official  Dan Bilzerian Facebook Page and no money is being given away.  The real Facebook Page, which is just called ‘Dan Bilzerian’ rather than  ‘Dan Bilzerian CEO’, features Facebook’s blue ‘verified’ icon to prove its authenticity. There is no mention of the  supposed  cash giveaway on the  real  Dan Bilzerian Facebook Page.

Scammers regularly create fake Facebook Pages that pretend to be associated with various celebrities. As in this version, the fake celebrity Pages offer cash or prizes in exchange for liking, sharing, and commenting. The Pages are like-farming scams designed to rapidly gather large numbers of likes.

Once the bogus Facebook Page  has collected  a great many likes, it can then be reused to launch  other types of scam, this time to a much larger potential audience.  Or, the Page may be listed for sale on the black market. The more likes a Page has, the more it will likely sell for.

Be wary of any Facebook Page or post that  claims  that you can win wads of  cash  or other valuable prizes just by liking, sharing, and commenting.
