\nFacebook scammers are currently targeting US based supermarket chain Wegmans. A circulating scam post claims that you can click to receive a $200 Wegmans grocery coupon.<\/p>\n

The fraudulent post and its \u00a0associated webpage have no connection to Wegmans and nobody who participates will receive the promised coupon.<\/p>\n

Wegmans has posted the following warning<\/a> to customers via its official Facebook Page.<\/p>\n

***Please Be Aware…We have learned of a false claim circulating Facebook regarding a free $200 grocery coupon. This giveaway is neither affiliated with nor supported by Wegmans. We’re actively working to have this fraudulent post removed from Facebook. We urge consumers not to click it, share it, or provide any personal information.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Those who fall for the ruse and click the fake post may be tricked into sharing the scam to their Facebook friends and Groups and providing their personal information via dodgy online survey websites. Scams like this one are extremely common<\/a> on Facebook. Be wary of any post that claims that you can win coupons, vouchers, or other valuable prizes just by sharing and filling in online surveys.<\/p>\n
