It is usually touted as an example of &#8220;beautiful nature&#8221;, &#8220;our wonderful world&#8221; or similar.<\/p>\n<p>The image depicts an island in which a towering rock face shows a human head in profile. \u00a0 A waterfall streaming from the head represents the figure&#8217;s long flowing hair. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0355887770822260\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"9162856233\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p> The piece is clearly the work of a quite skilled digital artist. So much so that a \u00a0 remarkably large number of commentators apparently think the image depicts a real natural formation.<\/p>\n<p>However, not surprisingly, the waterfall head image was created using a photograph of a \u00a0normal island as the source.<\/p>\n<p>The island is located in \u00a0Phang Nga Bay in Thailand. A <a href=\"https:\/\/traveluster.files.wordpress.com\/2012\/11\/dsc_2905.jpg\">photograph of the island<\/a> published on <a href=\"https:\/\/traveluster.wordpress.com\/tag\/gypsy\/\">The Traveluster blog<\/a> in 2012 shows the same shape and appearance of the manipulated head waterfall image. It appears that the artwork was created using this \u00a0photograph as the source. Note the small boat at the base of the island in both the original and manipulated versions of the image.
