\"UFO<\/a><\/p>\n

According to a post that is going viral on Facebook, a number of people have \u00a0spotted what appears to be a giant UFO emerging from the clouds over Memphis. \u00a0The post features several pictures \u00a0of the UFO that it claims were \u00a0taken by different people indifferent parts of the city. The post asks why the images are not being broadcast by the major media outlets and suggests that ‘somebody \u00a0has \u00a0some explaining to do’.<\/p>\n

But sadly, or \u00a0thankfully, depending on your point of view, the images do not depict a real alien spacecraft or even one of \u00a0 \u00a0terrestrial origin.<\/p>\n

In fact, the pictures are modified versions of an artwork <\/a>created by digital artist \u00a0Jukka Korhonen. \u00a0The work, \u00a0titled ‘V for Victory’, was inspired by the \u00a0science fiction series \u00a0‘V’. \u00a0The artist posted it to the CGSociety website<\/a> back in 2006.<\/p>\n

Clearly, pranksters \u00a0have used Jukka’s image to \u00a0create a series of UFO pictures that feature different locations. \u00a0Other versions<\/a> claim that the UFO appeared in the \u00a0skies over \u00a0Benguela, \u00a0Angola. But, all versions feature \u00a0the same UFO and cloud formation.<\/p>\n
