Supposedly, the promotion ends on Valentine&#8217;s Day, 14 February.<\/p>\n<p>But, alas, those who decide to participate in the supposed giveaway have no chance whatsoever of winning a BMW or any other prize. \u00a0  \u00a0The scammers who created the fake promotion do not have a BMW to give away. The image used in the scam post has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinterest.com.au\/pin\/354025220683639231\/\">appeared on many other websites<\/a> and it is not related to any legitimate Facebook giveaway.<\/p>\n<p>As with similar <a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/facebook-like-farming-scams\/\">like-farming scams<\/a>, the intent of the scammers is simply to promote their page to a wider audience and harvest as many Page likes as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Once the bogus Facebook Page has gathered a great many new likes via the fake BMW giveaway, it can then be used to launch other types of scams, this time to a considerably larger potential audience.<\/p>\n<p>Or, it may be sold on the black market to other scammers who will use it to launch their own spam and scam campaigns. <\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0355887770822260\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"9162856233\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p> \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/bmw-giveaway-like-farming-scam\/\">Scams like this one<\/a> continue to be <a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/we-are-giving-20-bmw-facebook-like-farming-scam\/\">very common on Facebook<\/a>.
