And, they \u00a0are certainly not giving any money or prizes.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Will-Smith-92304305160\/\">genuine Will Smith Facebook Page<\/a>, which features Facebook&#8217;s verified icon beside the name, make no mention of the supposed giveaways.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the scam posts is to trick people into signing up on a suspect video streaming website that claims to offer free movie downloads but nevertheless asks for your credit card details. Any service that promotes itself via scam posts on Facebook certainly should not be trusted with your credit card numbers or any other personal information.<\/p>\n<p>These celebrity giveaway scam Pages are increasingly common on Facebook. Other versions claim that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoax-slayer.net\/watch-out-for-tyler-perry-scam-pages-on-facebook\/\">Tyler Perry<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoax-slayer.net\/fake-janet-jackson-facebook-page-promises-free-money-and-prizes\/\">Janet Jackson<\/a>, Adele, and a host of other high profile celebrities are giving away large sums of money and valuable \u00a0prizes via Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Be wary of any Facebook Page or post that claims that a famous \u00a0person is randomly giving away cash and prizes to strangers. While many celebrities may give generously \u00a0to charities, it is extremely \u00a0unlikely that even the wealthiest stars would ever simply hand out cash, cars, \u00a0 and houses to Facebook users who simply share a page and download a movie.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that most high-profile celebrities will have the official verified icon beside their Facebook Page names. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p><script async
