Dwayne Johnson is alive and well.<\/p>\n<p>Clicking the message takes you to a fraudulent web page that is designed to look like a news report.<\/p>\n<p>If you attempt to play the video on the page, you may see a pop-up message claiming that your computer has been infected by viruses. The message will urge you to call a support number to get help \u00a0with the supposed virus infection. However, there is no virus infection.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the message is a typical <a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/your-computer-has-been-blocked-tech-support-scam-browser-popups\/\">browser tech support scam<\/a> designed to trick you into allowing criminals to take control of your computer and install malware. The criminals will also try to trick you into divulging your credit card details, ostensibly to pay for their assistance. <\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0355887770822260\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"9162856233\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>In other cases, you may be told that you must share the page and fill in various surveys before you will be allowed to view the video.  \u00a0These are <a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/what-is-a-facebook-survey-scam\/\">survey scams<\/a> designed to trick you into supplying your personal information to unscrupulous online marketing companies.<\/p>\n<p>In some instances, you may be tricked into adding malicious extensions to your web browser or downloading malware.<\/p>\n<p>But, even if you obey all of the instructions on the scam pages, you will never get to see the promised video, which never existed to begin with.<\/p>\n<p>Such \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/dont-get-caught-by-celebrity-death-hoaxes-and-scams\/\">celebrity death scams<\/a> \u00a0are a \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/death-scam-post-again-targets-rowan-atkinson-mr-bean-mr-bean-is-not-dead\/\">very common scammer ruse<\/a>. Be wary of any message that claims that a celebrity has died and invites you to click a link to watch a video or read a news report.
