The scammer will warn that if you do not send the requested money, your lottery prize will be given to someone else.<\/p>\n<p>If you do send money, further requests will likely follow. After the scammers have extracted as much money as possible from you, they will go silent and you will no longer be able to contact them. You will not get your money back and, of course, you will never get the promised lottery prize, which never existed in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>The scammers may also be able to steal your identity using personal and financial information you sent them as part of the bogus lottery claim process.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook lottery scams like this are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoax-slayer.net\/facebook-online-international-lottery-advance-fee-scam\/\">very common<\/a> and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hoax-slayer.net\/facebook-grant-award-advance-fee-scam\/\"> take many forms<\/a>.
