The email features the Commonwealth Bank logo along with a copyright notice in the footer.<\/p>\n<p>However, the email is certainly not from the Commonwealth \u00a0Bank.  \u00a0If you click the Log On button, you will be taken to a fraudulent website that has been built to closely mirror the bank&#8217;s genuine home page.  \u00a0After you enter your login details on the bogus website, you will be automatically redirected to the real Commonwealth Bank website.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, cybercriminals can collect the details you submitted on the \u00a0scam website and use them to hijack your account. Once they have \u00a0gained access to your account, they can transfer your funds to other accounts and \u00a0conduct other fraudulent transactions.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Phishing Scams - Anti-Phishing Information\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hoax-slayer.com\/phisher-scams.html\">Phishing scams<\/a> like this one are <a title=\"Commonwealth Bank 'eStatement Ready' Phishing Scam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hoax-slayer.com\/commonwealth-bank-estatement-phishing-scam.shtml\">very common<\/a>.
