According to this email, which purports to be from the Apple Support Team, your Apple ID is set to be disabled due to some violated policies.
It claims that your account information is invalid and unverified. Supposedly, to continue using your Apple ID, you must sign in and verify your information by clicking a “Verify Now” button.
However, the email is not from Apple and the claim that your account has been disabled is untrue.
The email is just a crude phishing scam designed to steal your Apple ID and other sensitive personal information.
Clicking the button takes you to a fraudulent website that has been built to emulate the genuine Apple home page. Once on the fake page, you will be instructed to log in with your Apple ID to begin the supposed verification process.
Next, you will be instructed to fill in an “Account Verification” form that asks for your name and contact details, your credit card numbers, and other identifying information.
After submitting the form, you will be redirected to the genuine Apple website.
The criminals can now collect the information you supplied and use it to hijack your Apple account, commit credit card fraud, and attempt to steal your identity.
Apple phishing scams continue to be very common. It is always safest to login to your Apple account by entering the address into your browser’s address bar or via a trusted app.
