The message urges you to share the information with your friends so that they will be warned as well. There are versions of the message in several languages, including Italian, English, and Swedish.<\/p>\n<h2>Claims are Nonsense &#8212; Just One Among Many Similar Hoaxes<\/h2>\n<p>But, the claims in the message are nonsense and should not be taken seriously. In fact, the message is just one in a <a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/christopher-butterfield-hacker-warning-hoax\/\">long series<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/hoax-slayer.net\/christopher-jessica-davies-hacker-hoax-warning\/\">bogus warnings<\/a> that have falsely claimed that a hacker can gain access to your computer and accounts just because you accept a friend request.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block; text-align: center;\" data-ad-format=\"fluid\" data-ad-layout=\"in-article\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-0355887770822260\" data-ad-slot=\"9162856233\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>From time to time, some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hoax-slayer.com\/simon25-hacker-hoax.shtml\">prankster adds a new name<\/a> &#8211; in this case,  \u00a0Anwar Jitou \u00a0&#8211; to the hoax and launches it anew. Except for the name changes and other minor variations, all of the hoaxes are pretty much the same.<\/p>\n<p>The scenario described in these messages is technically impossible.  \u00a0Of course, hackers certainly do use a range of tactics to trick people into relinquishing access to their accounts. Hackers might, for example, trick you into installing malware that allows them to take control of your \u00a0computer. \u00a0Or they might use a phishing attack to trick you into sending them personal information such as usernames and passwords, which would, of course, allow hackers to access your account.<\/p>\n<p>However, even the smartest criminal will not be able to hack your computer just by being added to your contact list.
