Australian cartoonist Pat Campbell has created a beautiful image that pays homage to those lost in the Christchurch terror attack.
The image has been widely shared on Twitter and other social media websites.
Campbell’s image depicts the iconic New Zealand fern symbol with 50 tiny figures as the fronds on the fern:
Initially, the image depicted 49 figures, but Campbell added one more when he learned that the death toll had climbed to 50.
When this image was drawn on Saturday morning, the death toll was 49. Since then it has risen to 50 so I have added another figure.
