[Video] Bogus “Court Notice”; Malware Emails Continue

Criminals continue to use bogus “Notice to Appear in Court” emails to distribute malware. There are many variations of these malware messages. Some, such as the example quoted below, claim to be from a court official. Others claim to be from a specified law firm. Be wary of any unsolicited email that claims that you must appear in court. Some include their malware payload in an attached file. Others try to entice you to click a link that opens a website that contains malware.

Dear Name,You have to appear in the Court on the March 30.
You are kindly asked to prepare and bring the documents relating to the case to Court on the specified date.
Note: If you do not come, the case will be heard in your absence.
