A post circulating via Facebook claims that you can share and comment on a video to get a free $75 coupon from American supermarket chain Whole Foods Market.
The post, which comes from a Facebook Page called “Whole Foods Market’s Club”, claims that the company is giving EVERYONE a coupon as a means of celebrating its 37th anniversary.
The post instructs you to share the video, add the comment “Thanks”, and then click a link to confirm your entry. It promises that your free coupon will be sent to your inbox within 2 hours.
However, both the post and the originating Facebook Page are fraudulent. Despite its name and logo, the Facebook Page is in no way associated with Whole Foods Market and it is not giving away any coupons. Those who participate have no chance whatsoever of getting one of the promised coupons and may be tricked into divulging their personal information on suspect “survey” websites.
The genuine Whole Foods Market Facebook Page has Facebook’s blue “verified” icon beside its name to prove it’s authenticity. And, the genuine Page is called “Whole Foods Market” not “Whole Foods Market’s Club”.
