Outline:
Facebook Page that calls itself “Home Luxury” claims to be giving away a house. Supposedly, all you need to do for a chance to win is like the Facebook Page, share a post, and drop a comment.
Analysis:
The “Home Luxury” Facebook Page is fraudulent. It is not giving away a house or any other prizes. Participants have zero chance of winning anything at all. The image of the house that is supposedly being given away depicts a mobile home company display house and has been published on many other websites. The bogus Facebook Page has no connection to any company called “Champion Homes”.
The fake Facebook Page is designed simply to gather large numbers of Facebook likes. Once the bogus Page has accumulated a great many new likes, it can then be used to launch survey scams or other types of fraudulent activity. Alternatively, it may be sold on the black market to other scammers.
This is just one of many similar like-farming scams on Facebook. New scam Pages continually appear on the network. Please do not help the scammers who create such Facebook Pages by liking, sharing, and commenting.
