Facebook Page claims that users can get a chance to win a new Nokia 3310 just by liking the Page, sharing the post, and adding a comment specifying what colour phone they would like.
Analysis:
The Facebook Page is fraudulent and has no connection to Nokia. Those who participate have no chance whatsoever of winning anything. There are no prizes. The scammers who created the fake Facebook Page are attempting to capitalise on news surrounding the Nokia’s new range of phone offerings.
The scam Page is designed to accumulate large numbers of Facebook likes as quickly as possible. Once the Page has collected a large number of likes, it can then be reused to launch other types of scam. Alternatively, it might be sold on the black market to other scammers.
