The Facebook Page is fraudulent. It is not associated with Mercedes and those who participate have no chance whatsoever of winning a car. The Page is a typical giveaway scam designed to quickly gather large numbers of likes so that the Page can be reused for further scams or sold on the black market.

According to this Facebook post, you can get a chance to win one of two Mercedes Benz E63 AMG cars that are being given away by the car maker for the ‘first time this year’.
All you need do for a chance to win, claims the post, is to like the associated Facebook Page, like the post itself, add a comment stating what colour car you would like should you win, and share the message with your Facebook friends.
However, the post is a typical Facebook like-farming scam. The fraudulent Facebook Page that generated the post has no connection to Mercedes whatsoever and those who participate have zero chance of winning a car. No cars are being given away.
The scam is designed to trick people into liking, sharing and commenting as a means of accumulating as many Page likes as possible in the shortest possible time. By asking people to comment and share, the scammers can reach an ever growing audience, thereby greatly increasing their Page likes.
Facebook Pages with large numbers of likes can later be used to launch further scams, this time to a much larger pool of potential victims. Alternatively, the Pages can be sold on the black market to other scammers.
Bogus car giveaways are a very common scammer tactic. In fact, an earlier version of the scam claimed that two Mercedes Benz G-Class cars were supposedly being given away.
Be very wary of any Facebook post or Page that claims that you can win a luxury car or other valuable prize just by liking, sharing and commenting.
