Email purporting to be from an assassin who has been hired to kill you claims that ‘someone who knows you very well wants you dead’, but offers to let you live if you send him $8000.
Brief Analysis:
The email is not from any assassin and nobody has been paid to kill you. The email is a scam designed to panic you into sending your money to cybercriminals. The same email is sent randomly to very large numbers of people in the hope that a few recipients will believe the claims and pay up.
Attention, I am very sorry for you, is a pity that this is how your life is going to end as soon as you don’t comply. As you can see we are the members of the Deadly Networks in the world, which is responsible for the bombing of twin [ISO-8859-1?]tower’s in America on Sept. 11th and the bombing of London transport services on July 7th (AL-QAEDA NETWORKS WORLDWIDE), I don’t have any business with you, my duty as I am mailing you now is just to KILL you and I have to do it as I have already

As I am writing you this mail my men are monitoring you and they are telling me everything about you.Now do you want to LIVE OR DIE? Since all program has be made and draw to kill you. Get back to me now if you are ready to pay some fees to spare your Life, $8,000 is all you need to spend in this process you will first of all Pay $3,000 and then I will send a tape to you which I recorded in every discussion I had with the person who wanted you dead and as soon as you get the Tape,

Detailed Analysis:
According to this email, someone who you called your friend wants you dead by all means. Supposedly, the sender of the message has been paid to kill you by ‘someone you know very well’. But, claims the email, this – apparently double crossing – hired assassin has decided to offer you the chance to save your life by sending him $8000. Supposedly, the assassin is a member of the Deadly Networks, a group responsible for 9/11 and the London bombings. The assassin claims that he has his men watching your every move and warns you to not even think of going to the police. He suggest that you get back to him if you want to live and promises that he will provide you with a tape of the friend planning your demise that you can later take to the police.
But, you can relax. The person who contacted you is not an assassin who has been paid to kill you. And he and his men are not spying on you as claimed. In fact, the email’s sender is just a run-of-the-mill advance fee scammer intent on tricking you into sending your money and personal information. And, he no doubt sent the very same email to hundreds of thousands of other recipients in the hope of netting at least a few victims.
If you respond to the scammer, he will then try to intimidate you into sending the initial $3000, ostensibly to stop him proceeding with your murder. At this point, of course, he knows nothing about you. But, during your correspondence with the scammer, he may trick you into revealing personal information about yourself. And, once he has some initial details such as your name and location, he may be able to discover more information about you via publicly available records. He can then twist this information around in later messages to make it appear that his henchmen really are watching you. He may even send you some tapes or transcripts to convince you that somebody really did put out a contract on your life. Thus, he may convince you to send the further $5000. In fact, he will probably keep demanding more and more money until your run out of funds to send or at last realise that you are being scammed.
And, during the course of the scam, the criminal may have tricked you into revealing a lot of personal and financial information and he may later use this information to steal your identity.
‘Hitman’ scams like this one have been hitting inboxes in various forms for at least a decade. Over the years, the FBI has issued several warnings about these extortion scams. If you receive one of these scam emails, do not respond.
