Outline:
Circulating social media message warns that there will be no sun for 8 days from June 10 until June 17. According to the message, the darkness event has been confirmed by NASA.
Brief Analysis:
The message is just a silly hoax. The earth will not go dark for 8 days as claimed and the information has certainly not been confirmed by NASA. The message is just the latest incarnation of the long running ‘days of darkness’ hoax and should not be taken seriously.
From June 10 until June 17, the sun will NOT rise in the sky as it use to . The whole world will be completely dark. That was confirmed by NASA! Menlo Park, California, recently held a press conference at the World Scientist from NASA officially announced.NASA news BBC, Reuters and CNN news all over the world began to be published as soon as they brawl. This is a rare happening for the first time in 10 million years, according to NASA. 016 from June 10th to June 17th consecutive 8 days for the earth shall be full darkness. So, from June 10, drawn eight uthabena sun!NASA's research in this connection at the end of a press release sent to the White House also said that, on June 10th will be the day of the darkness of this world, up eight!
According to the press release, after the first two or three nights in the dark would be annoying to people. Then will begin the incidence of various diseases. Electricity crisis will stretch around the world. Different types of lights will increase sales.
In the fifth day of the fourth month increase in suicides. Continuous night once people see the Fed will begin to commit suicide.
So why the news was kept down, Charles Frank Bolden's asking NASA spokesman, when contacted about this, they did not react much. It did not matter that much to them, but they ruled out kono.
According to Nasa (Or if not Nasa,The source), They Sun light will be blocked because of Solar Storm.. The world will remain dark for these 8 days, completely void of sunlight, due to a solar storm which will cause dust and space debris to block 90% of the sun (From another source)
Detailed Analysis:
According to a message that is currently going viral via social media, the sun will not rise in the sky from June 10 until June 17, 2016. Supposedly, US space agency NASA has confirmed the claims in the message that the Earth will experience 8 days of full darkness . The message suggests that the 8 days of darkness will have dire consequences, including an ‘electricity crisis’, and increases in diseases and suicides. It suggests that the darkness event will be ‘due to a solar storm which will cause dust and space debris to block 90% of the sun’. The message features a graphic showing a planetary scene and the caption ‘No sun for 8 Days! Nasa confirmed’.
But, of course, the claims in the message are utter nonsense. There will be no 8 days of darkness in June. And, no, NASA has certainly not confirmed the supposed darkness event.
In fact, the message is just the latest version of a long-running ‘days of darkness’ hoax that has circulated in various forms for years. Another version falsely claimed that there would be 15 days of darkness in November, 2015. Earlier variants claimed that the days of darkness were set to occur in June and July 2015, December 2014, and December 2012. The number of supposed dark days varies in different versions of the hoax.
And, for the record, a solar storm would not cause a period of darkness on Earth as described in the message. Nor would any sort of ‘planetary alignment’ as claimed in some alternative versions.
Back in 2012, NASA responded to the hoax via the following write-up on its website:
Q: Is NASA predicting a “total blackout” of Earth on Dec. 23 to Dec. 25?
A: Absolutely not. Neither NASA nor any other scientific organization is predicting such a blackout. The false reports on this issue claim that some sort of “alignment of the Universe” will cause a blackout. There is no such alignment (see next question). Some versions of this rumor cite an emergency preparedness message from NASA Administrator Charles Bolden. This is simply a message encouraging people to be prepared for emergencies, recorded as part of a wider government preparedness campaign. It never mentions a blackout.
Versions of this ridiculous hoax seem set to resurface every few months. If one of them comes your way, don’t share it with others on your network. And let the person who posted it know that the message is just a silly hoax.
