Fancy a New Range Rover? Me Too, But Liking and Sharing on Facebook Won’t Get you One!

Facebook scammers seem to have a thing for Range Rovers. Over the last few years, I’ve seen dozens of different like-farming and survey scams on Facebook that all promise you the chance to win a brand new Range Rover just for liking, sharing, commenting, and filling out the odd online survey.

And, each time scammers launch another fake Range Rover giveaway, many thousands of Facebook users respond and participate.

Of course, nobody ever actually wins one of the promised Range Rovers. And the dodgy Facebook Pages that offer these Range Rovers as bait to potential participants don’t actually have any Range Rovers to give away.

But, still, people continue to like, share, and comment in the vain and forlorn hope that the bogus promotion might actually be genuine.   Which plays right into the hands of the grubby little scammers and ensures that they’ll continue to inflict yet more Range Rover scams on us in the future.

Bottom line? If you see a post that claims that you can win a Range Rover – or any other high-end vehicle for that matter – just by liking, sharing, commenting, and filling in a survey, it’s a SCAM.

This video from the Hoax-Slayer YouTube channel gives more details about how these scams work:
